Liam Benson

March 2019

curated by

Upasana Papadopoulos

Featuring a collection of hand-sewn embroideries of beading and sequins, created over the period of the last seven years. Each embroidery functions both as a celebration of identity and community and as a meditation on the intricate connections we form in our relationships with one another. In the passion of making and through his use of light, colour and detail, Benson binds queer culture together with the foundations of family, togetherness and love as an expression of shared humanity.
